Directors at Pittsburgh Public Works released their squad’s schedule today for the upcoming snow and inclement-weather regular season.
“We have a lot of great showdowns on the slate this year,” said city spokesperson Tina Larson. “Early in the year, Public Works will go head-to-head against a negligible amount of rain that will result in tons of wasted resources and then, as if that weren’t enough to get people excited, they’ll battle long-standing rivals funding and personnel issues — all while it’s snowing more than it has in a decade.”
The department expects local news stations to add several more dates to its schedule throughout the season. However, these matchups will likely be canceled when the opposing weather system only shows up with a dozen flakes of snow and myriad disappointed schoolchildren.
