BLOOMFIELD — Little Italy Days visitor Paul Hillman reportedly looks most forward to trying the “authentically Italian” collision coverage offered by State Farm.
“Easily my favorite time of the year,” said Hillman, taking out a small notebook adorned with an Italian flag to track all the different promotional offers he intends to try at the festival. “I don’t care if I have to wait an hour in line: I’m going for that Old World-quality deductible and bi-yearly rate first. Just-a like mama used to insure!”
The Green Tree resident explained that his family has attended the event often enough to avoid missteps.
“There are so many vendors, it’s easy to be tempted to start with something flashy like Gutter Helmet,” said Hillman. “Or people load up on quotes for window installation by Pella, and then they have no room left for those classic Mediterranean safe driving discounts and 24-hour customer service. It’s a real shame.”
As of press time, Hillman was planning to support local business further by buying novelty frozen drinks from a vendor based in New Jersey.
