To the thousands who crowd the streets of Bloomfield every year for Little Italy Days:
The organizers of this annual event cannot thank you enough for the outpouring of support we’ve experienced. It’s what makes this message harder than ever.
Alas, after careful consideration, and contractual discussion, it’s with sincere regret we must announce that you — yes, you — are probably throwing money away with drafty, low-quality windows when all it takes is one easy call to Pella for a comfy home, more money in your wallet instead of the heating bill, and peace of mind…oh, and we are also moving the 2020 event to the middle of October due to the ongoing pandemic. Sorry for any inconvenience.
We assure you, we did not arrive upon this conclusion lightly and without hours of meaningful dialogue between our team, the community, and a select list of reliable, impossible-to-beat corporate entities whose checks we had already cashed months ago. Indeed, in these unprecedented times, residents of Bloomfield and all around the Greater Pittsburgh Area have been forced to ask themselves tough questions:
How will I pay the bills if I lose my job?
How do I keep my family safe, especially from shoddy craftsmanship clearly performed by a company other than Pella, a trusted source for expert window installation and unparalleled service since 1925?
How can I continue to help my favorite Italian heritage festival — besides, of course, from making a quick call to Pella and yelling “Little Italy sent me!” before ordering 47 new windows?
We simply couldn’t stand pat knowing the current circumstances might risk the long-term backing of such lucrative sponsors, not the least of which being Pella, the country’s #1 source for just the exciting touch your home needs (now offering doors, too!) or a few guests even getting sick maybe.
Thus, with all these important financial considerations, not to mention this crazy virus thing, we have pushed back the start of Little Italy Days 2020 to Thursday, October 8. We can’t wait to see you there and hear about how great your new windows look!
