CANONSBURG — A local steak salad made with the intention of “healthy eating” clocked in at a staggering 1400 calories this afternoon, according to unwitting sources claiming it’s “fucking bomb.”
“The secret is getting the right lettuce mix,” said Sharon Perry, dipping a fork’s worth of steak, fries, and one modicum of greens into a side of ranch. “It also helps to use a steak cut with a bit of fat on it to lend the salad a silky bite. I’ll admit today’s rendition of this healthy little number wasn’t my best: the fries could’ve used a touch more oil to add some more crunch and a touch of salt, honestly. I still think the mix of whole milk cheddar and mozzarella really came together well.”
“As I said, though, if the romaine to iceberg ratio is off – yuck,” she added.
As of press time, Perry was reportedly scraping the remaining veggies into a bowl to save for tomorrow’s salad.
